This position will estimate the work of projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. This position will oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications.
● Develops bids for construction projects. Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes. Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collection information.
● Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of jobs and materials necessary to complete project.
● Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet budget progress and costs.
● Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issue arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments.
● Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities about the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systems.
● Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
● Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence by all parties.
● Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the job sites.
● Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, supervisors, foremen, laborers.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● BA in engineering, construction science, civil engineering or similar relevant field required.
● Previous working experience as a construction estimator of at least 5 years required. Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
● In-depth knowledge of project management.
● Hands-on experience with complex data research activities.
● Good time-management skills, ability to multi-task.
● Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills.
● Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· May require travel.
· Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
· Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite(s).

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our shop crew to perform skilled and semi-skilled work involved in the mechanical servicing, maintenance and repair of company's fleet of vehicles, equipment, and heavy construction equipment. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Travel to job sites as needed for equipment repairs. Hours are 6am - 5pm Monday thru Friday.
The Shop Laborer will assist mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment and various shop duties.
● Helps mechanic perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil change, checks tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs and engages in other similar tasks.
● Assists mechanics with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.
● Cleans the shop and returns tools to proper location.
● Cleans the vehicles, trailers, equipment in for repairs.
● Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
● Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
● Updates maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.
● Knowledge of vehicle repair.

● Ability to read service and repair manuals.

· Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in heat and cold.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
